In 1992, Andrea Solanki found her second passion in oriental dance. For twelve years, she performed as a soloist and member of the Ko-i-nohr ensemble and Leyla Jouvana's ensemble on numerous stages in Germany. Together with her dance partner Nasrah Nefer, she also presented her art in oriental countries. This creative collaboration led to the creation of the "Lotosgarten" oriental shop in Bonn in 1996, which reflected the fascinating world of colors and sensuality.
The Artist, born in East Berlin in 1967, discovered her passion for photography early on. She spent many hours in the darkroom of her stepfather, who developed photos and slides himself. There she learned the basics of photography and image processing. After fleeing the GDR in 1989, she settled in North Rhine-Westphalia, where she began a new life.
The world of dance, with its dazzling colors, costumes and flowing movements, reawakened Solanki's passion for photography. She was interested in capturing a mood and capturing a moment in the here and now. Her photography makes small things seem big, light and colors are explored in depth, and she discovers the unnoticed and the uniqueness in each motif. For Andrea Solanki, it's about revealing the magic of the moment, inspiring the imagination and preserving the magical. In her work, she stops time and creates fulfilling moments that become visible to others.

Echoes of AutuMN
Silence and Light
Echoes of Autumn explores the silent poetry of empty park landscapes. The photographs capture meditative moments where autumn, in its mystical light and delicate play of colors, reveals its subtle secrets. Every deserted path, every silent leaf invites the viewer to feel the absence—and, in that silence, discover a profound sense of connection.
