Nasrah Nefer

Founder / Artist / Designer/ Curator

Nasrah Nefer is a German-Egyptian artist whose work forms a captivating symbiosis of East and West, tradition and modernity. Her artistic signature blends abstract compositions with elements of Pittura Metafisica, Art Nouveau, and Maximalism. Driven by a deep sense of aesthetics, her art reflects a passion for merging diverse artistic expressions into a singular, transformative vision.

After training as a nurse, Nasrah followed her inner calling to art, studying painting at Francesco Santini’s Art School in Sardinia. She later refined her skills in Germany while pursuing studies in Egyptology, Islamic Studies, and Archaeology at the University of Cologne. At the same time, she trained in contemporary and Egyptian dance, performing internationally for over two decades and founding cultural and event projects that seamlessly combined various art forms.

Her works have been exhibited worldwide and received prestigious awards, including the Leonardo da Vinci Prize, the International Caravaggio Art Prize, and the Paris Art Prize 2022. Her art has been featured in international publications such as Art from Leonardo da Vinci to Today (MAMAG Modern Art Museum, Vienna).

In 2020, she co-founded the artist collective N A S Art with Ayşe Yalcındağ and Serpil Topaloğlu, dedicated to fostering artistic dialogue between cultures. In 2024, she launched the LUMEN ART Gallery with German artist and moderator Elke Lina Krüger, an innovative online platform supporting and connecting artists globally.

Beyond painting, Nasrah Nefer is active as a curator, author, and translator. In 2022, she translated Prof. Dr. Yelda Özsunar’s philosophical work Universal Symphony into German. She is dedicated to elevating artistic expression by curating interdisciplinary projects that transcend boundaries, merging artistic disciplines into innovative syntheses. Her curatorial work focuses on bringing together visionary artists, fostering collaboration across genres, and creating immersive experiences that redefine the way art is perceived and experienced.

Her remarkable life and artistic journey inspired the novel A Special Soul’s Tango by Erdal Beşer, published in 2022, featuring her artworks. The book conveys the powerful message of art as healing—a bridge between pain and transformation, a manifestation of inner strength, and a path to emotional harmony.

Her art is a reflection of her inner world—a pursuit of beauty, light, and harmony. With every brushstroke, she transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary, giving the unseen a luminous presence. Through her curatorial work, she extends this vision beyond the canvas, shaping artistic encounters that unite disciplines, cultures, and perspectives into a shared artistic language.
